.: Sharon Bowles MEP (Liberal Democrat - South East England)

Approached  Sharon Bowles MEP  on  6th July 2008 via e-mail with a letter of introduction .

we received the following e-mail from Sharon Bowles MEP on 7th July 2008:

Dear Ms. Woods,

Thank you for your email regarding the freeseapass campaign.

Though I am interested in the proposal, unfortunately I cannot seem to access the websites you have provided me. Are they up and running yet?

Best wishes,

Sharon Bowles

Which alerted us to a problem of which we had been unaware... Our reply, on 7th July 2008 was:

Dear Ms. Bowles,

Thank you so much for your interest in the Free Sea Pass campaign and for letting me know that the website was inaccessible when you went to look at it. It seems to be working now and I have contacted the host server support team to ask if they would ensure that the site stays visible to visitors at all times, as per the contract we made...

We'd very much appreciate it if you would try again to view the website at http://www.freeseapass.co.uk and my fingers are crossed that you will have better luck this time.

Best regards,
Linnet Woods

We then received the following e-mail on the 8th of July 2008:

Dear Ms. Woods,

I am Sharon Bowles’ caseworker, replying on her behalf while she’s away in Strasbourg. I’m afraid there’s been no more luck with the website – we’ve tried .co.uk & .com and both seem still to be down! I’m not sure why this might be. I am sorry you have having such trouble with this, but do let us know when it is fixed.

Best regards,

Douglas Thomson
Constituency Assistant

Office of Sharon Bowles MEP
Liberal Democrat
Member of the European Parliament for South East England

To which I responded on the 8th July 2008:

Dear Mr. Thomson,

Re: Free Sea Pass

So sorry your time was wasted a second time running - my host had the site back online yesterday and assured me their problems had been solved by moving my site (and all the others presumably) to a stable and secure server...

I have just contacted the server again and will let you know when I am certain that the site really is online to stay.

My humble apologies - I know how busy you must be.

Best regards,
Linnet

On the 10th July 2008 I sent the following:

Dear Mr Thomson
Thank you for your patience. We believe the problems at http://www.freeseapass.co.uk have been fixed now and would be very honoured if you would take a look and let us know your views.
